A history of Paterson NJ

The area of downtown Paterson at Main Street and Ward Street is slated to be developed. It is now being used as a municipal parking lot.

On September 22, 2003 Mayor Torres.Parking Authority Chairman John Shultis and Nick Tsapatsaris of Center City Partners signed a Memorandum of Agreement (M.O.A.)

Center City Partners plans to build three buildings: a 5 1/2 story building with 350,000 sf of retail space capped with a glass dome, asecond building with retail and office space and a third residential building. Among the three buildings there will be 3,150 parking spaces.

The PatersonHistory.com web site is a privately funded project, dedicated to the preservation of the rich history of the City of Paterson and to those who seek to expand their knowledge of it.
